Emotional discomfort should be guiding, not debilitating. It’s all too common to spend energy to build a life where you feel healthy, secure, and confident but find that “stuff” just constantly gets in the way. As your therapist, I’ll help you to recognize some of the traps we fall into when trying to cultivate the life we want. I’d love to help you out of “stuckness” and into a life of authenticity and security.

I offer an integrative, warm, personable, and individualized approach to therapy because I believe that every journey is unique, and that you are the expert on you. I take great care in making sure you feel heard and that I understand your position and concerns. The goal is to understand the fulfilled life you are working toward and help you make changes that will move you toward that vision. I strongly believe that all aspects of our life are improved when we learn to reject the mold and lead our most authentic lives.

My specializations include:

  • Trauma-informed care (complex PTSD, acute stress, vicarious traumatization, etc.)

  • Challenging relationship dynamics (romantic, platonic, familial, or collegial)

  • Identity exploration and development (LGBTQIA2S+, disability, minority identities, and all the intersections)

If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule a free consultation here. During this time, we can get to know each other and discuss your goals for therapy in a low-pressure virtual meeting. Regardless of what you decide, I will provide you with specific recommendations that are unique to you and your concerns. Navigating mental health can be challenging! I am happy to be a friendly guide in finding the services that are the best fit for your needs.

FAQs

  • Tower Moments accepts clients using the following insurance plans: Aetna, Oscar Health, Oxford, United Healthcare, and BCBS. Medical Mutual and OSU insurances are pending as well.

The current self/private pay rates for individual therapy are $195/hr and $195 for 60-min outdoor therapy appointments/$245 for 90 minute appointments. I’m happy to provide detailed invoices if you want to use an Out-of-Network benefit and be reimbursed by your insurance provider.

The developing group “Taking Back Power” is a passion project that I’m conducting practically at cost. Members will be asked to register for the group for each session via this website, and the weekly fee is $40. This is to cover overhead costs, but if this makes the group inaccessible to you, please inform me so we can work out a plan. If you are a community member interested in contributing to our group scholarship fund, please reach out!

  • As long as there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, I can be flexible with the location dependent on your availability and location! Some local favorites are:

    1) Highbanks Metropark (Worthington/Lewis Center)

    2) Sharon Woods Metropark (Westerville)

    3) Scioto Audubon Metropark (Downtown Columbus)

    4) Inniswood Metro Gardens (Westerville/Gahanna)

These are the best locales that I’ve discovered to have most therapeutic properties with limited crowds and trail lengths that match the time allotted. I am also open for personal recommendations - maybe you have a favorite community garden or trail!

  • Virtual therapy is offered via Sessions Health HIPAA compliant (secure) teleconferencing. Your link will be provided to you prior to the appointment time.

In person appointments are held at our office at 1555 Bethel Rd. Suite 216 (Second Floor), Columbus, OH 43220. Please note that there is no elevator in the building and (unfortunately) we are not considered ADA accessible for wheelchair users.

All group therapy services are offered in person only.

  • Relationship Competency courses are 2-hour, live web courses that cover all the things you need to know when examining how to cultivate and maintain relationships that are reciprocal, grounded, secure, and healthy. We cover how to complete your own needs assessment and communicate and enforce effective boundaries. We also identify green, yellow, and red flags, and discuss how to quickly and accurately determine who to allow access to our energies.

Courses are offered evenings and weekends for accessibility, but reach out if you need a flexible course that is not currently offered during a time you can attend!

Each participant is given a PDF file of a Relationship Competency workbook, designed specifically for this course by the facilitator. The workbook includes space for your reflections, as well as prompts and other exercises that will be utilized in the course with the live facilitator. If you are a tactile learner and want a copy printed/mailed to you (with at least 7 days notice), one can be provided to you at cost for printing/mail services. Just inform us when you register and one will be provided for you!
